Collapsing cylindrical cloud

Numerical simulation performed with Torch.

Description of the simulation:

This numerical simulation investigates the gravitational collapse of a cylindrical molecular cloud (MC). It employs initial conditions representing a turbulent MC with a density gradient along the main axis, incorporating magnetohydrodynamics, selfgravity, star formation via sink particles, and feedback processes—including both mechanical outflows and radiative effects. This numerical simulation remains unpublished.
